BlueRadios® Bluetooth, Low Eenergy, ZigBee, and WiFi modules come in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) packaging that mount directly into your products, converting them to wireless devices. BlueRadios wireless data radio modems are wireless transceivers - they can receive and transmit both data and voice simultaneously. Bluetooth for example uses frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) technology with guaranteed packet delivery and encryption to deliver a robust and reliable digital data delivery transport.

Telehealth: Telehealth is one of the primary applications for Bluetooth low–energy wireless connectivity in medicine. Telehealth is a broad term used to describe telemedicine, telemonitoring and telecare. Wireless technology is making a huge impact in telemonitoring by enabling remote patient monitoring for the healthy (preventative medicine) and for those that require management of chronic diseases. Wireless technology will allow doctors to improve quality of care by providing a new method to collect more relevant data, more frequently and at a lower cost.

Security: Surveillance equipment, tracking, security guard gateway control, passage control and intruder alarms are different security applications for which the Blue Radios intelligent serial interface is well suited. The Bluetooth and Low energy specification provides robust and secure transmissions with both encryption and frequency hopping. There are no transmission wires that can be damaged or intentionally cut. Without cabling, it is just as easy to create a temporary security solution as a permanent.

Industrial environment: In an industrial environment, where cabling is frequently expensive and hard to install, cables from one point to another are easily replaced with Blue Radios device built into machinery. Today most machinery and telemetry equipment operate on a TCP/IP protocols and in such environments Blue Radios offers a product that reduces installation and cabling costs dramatically. A number of Blue Radio access devices (LAN Access Points) enable wireless connectivity throughout the factory floor, thus creating flexible points of control. Users can move around the factory with their portable computing equipment containing wireless modules, such as handheld PC's, PDA's and other portable equipment gathering data from machines.
