BlueRadios
new
BR-ZBX3-2A is a true system-on-chip module tailored for IEEE
802.15.4, ZigBee, ZigBee RF4CE and Smart Energy applications.
With its large flash memory of 256 KB, the BR-ZBX3-2A is ideal
for ZigBee PRO applications. Supports the new RemoTI
stack for ZigBee RF4CE, which is the industrys first
ZigBee RF4CE-compliant protocol stack, and will allow for
on-chip, over-the-air-download to support in-system reprogramming.
Additionally, the BR-ZBX3-2A combines a fully integrated,
high-performance RF transceiver with an 8051 MCU, 8 KB of
RAM, 256 KB of Flash memory, and other powerful supporting
features and peripherals.
ZigBee
compliant radios take advantage of the IEEE 802.15.4 standard
and can transmit/receive data over a very low power network.
Intended to work in a noisy environment, small packets of
information are robustly passed from node to node until it
reaches its destination via a mesh network. Once the information
is transmitted, the node goes into a sleep mode, expending
almost no power until it needs to wake again. This has the
advantage of extending the battery life to two years or even
more. Intended to be primarily be used for industrial, building
and home automation applications.
As
the leader in OEM RF module solutions, BlueRadios
provides foot print compatible modules based on three industry
standards: Bluetooth, ZigBee and Bluetooth
Low Energy which are interchangeable. The BR-ZBX3-2A
which supports ZigBee is
currently sampling to selected customers and will be available
for the mass market Q2/2010.
Applications can be written directly onto the
BR-ZBX3-2A,
which supports both analog and digital peripherals, eliminating
the need for a second costly microprocessor. Alternately,
the BR-ZBX3-2A
can be integrated into an
existing design as a network processor device, with a host
processor running the core application.
